Sport Manitoba supports this message and encourages sport organizations to implement the safety protocols necessary to protect staff, participants, volunteers, and communities. E.g. screenings, collecting contact information, hand hygiene, physical distancing, mask requirements and vaccinations are all still considered valuable tools. Any organizations or facility owners may add or clarify their own rules and restrictions regarding the wearing of masks, vaccination status and any other disease prevention protocols that they deem fit for their own individual circumstances.&#8221;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Due to this update, we will no longer use the Attestation Form.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>TRAILS REPORT (<\/strong><strong>Carrie Wilson)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Carrie is disappointed that she hasn\u2019t heard anything, however, some trails remain closed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>FUNDRAISING (<\/strong><strong>Andy Dunlop)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fall Tack Sale &#8211; Andy will discuss dates with Trish to hold at SEC.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>YEAR END AWARDS (Darice Whyte)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Even if we have 1 ride we should have awards, even if they are small.<\/li>\n<li>Champion and Reserve for each division and Mileage awards.<\/li>\n<li>Kelli \u2013 awards for Jr. riders.3 awards \u2013 Training, 25 and Open.<\/li>\n<li>We should have a list of Year End Awards posted at the beginning of each season so riders know what they can work towards.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; PROMOTIONAL ITEMS (Shannon Lightfoot)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Kelli has the samples.<\/li>\n<li>Due to the last ride being cancelled, the samples were not able to be seen.<\/li>\n<li>Darice can bring samples to the Souris Bend ride (pick up samples from Kelli).<\/li>\n<li>The order form can be posted and the order date extended (August 31, 2021).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>COMMUNICATIONS (Kelli Hayhurt, Mark H.)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>No updates at this time.<\/li>\n<li>Mark is still able to post updates as required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>BY-LAW REVIEW\/POLICY STATEMENTS\/RULE BOOK <\/strong><strong>(Kelli Hayhurst\/Carrie Wilson)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Nothing to report at this time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>&nbsp;<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; SUCCESSION PLANNING<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>From July 5<sup>th<\/sup> meeting &#8211; <em>Treasurer (Kelli Hayhurst), Secretary (Trish Forde) and Vice President (Carrie Wilson) \u2013 These 3 (three) board positions are up for renewal. The 3 (three) board members have all agreed to allow their names to stand.&nbsp; However, if there is interest in any of the board positions, the current board members stated that they would find other areas to volunteer in if not re-elected.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Next year: President (Darcie Whyte) position is up for renewal.&nbsp; Darice stated that this will be her last year as DRM President.&nbsp; Member at Large (Shannon Lightfoot) position is also up for renewal.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Vets \u2013 Kelli stated that it would be a good plan to get Glenn Sinclair to shadow\/train an alternate vet(s) \u2013 Possibly Dr. Jenna from Central. If the BHP ride goes forward, it usually profits the most out of all out rides with full participants, so there should be enough to pay for 2 vets.&nbsp; Kelli will reach out to Glenn.<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Board members should be having individual conversations with people that may be interested in being part of the board.Due to covid, heat and smoke, the interest to compete is lower than normal so finding people is difficult at this time.&nbsp; It\u2019s important to keep talking about this though.<\/li>\n<li>Kelli spoke with Kara P. but nothing has come out of that conversation so far.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Add to next meeting\u2019s agenda. MTRC will be discussing their AGM at their next meeting as well.<\/li>\n<li>Need to give membership 30 days notice prior to meeting.<\/li>\n<li>Location: Smitty\u2019s in Selkirk<\/li>\n<li>Date: November 6, 2021<\/li>\n<li>Time: TBD<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>RIDE OPERATIONS<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>EQUIPMENT TRAILER\/INVENTORY<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Nothing to report at this time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>RIDE UPDATES<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Aug 7-9: Galloping through Grosse Isle &#8211; Kara\/Andy\/Chelsea\n<ul>\n<li>Cancelled due to poor air quality.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Sept 4: Souris &#8211; Dianne\/Myna \u2013 1 day Ride.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>Carrie has the permit and will apply for sanctioning.<\/li>\n<li>Myna \u2013 Trail Marker<\/li>\n<li>Glenn Sinclair \u2013 Vet (Need Hotel Requirements)<\/li>\n<li>No Equipment hand off required.<\/li>\n<li>We will have to watch financing on this ride.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li>Sept 19: BHP \u2013 Formerly MEC (Possible Mars Hill Back up location) &#8211; Darice<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>Permit has been applied for.<\/li>\n<li>Vet: Glenn Sinclair<\/li>\n<li>Darice will post for Ride Manager and Day Manager.<\/li>\n<li>If BHP will not issue a permit, possible site change to Mars Sandhills as this ride has been all planned out, it would be change in location.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li>Mars Sandhills \u2013 Wendy N. and her daughter<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>Jennifer \u2013 Trail Marker<\/li>\n<li>Kelli \u2013 Day Manager for Saturday<\/li>\n<li>Brenda \u2013 Day Manager for Sunday<\/li>\n<li>Shannon \u2013 permit application.
