Meeting Minutes April 4, 2024

Brief discussion re membership fees, remain the same

MHC report Christine:

MHC AGMon April 25 – Kelly to attend

 

Fundraising Report – Andy

Tack sale discussion:

Andy proposed purchase of Blackstone grill for $249.00, seconded by Kelli, approved

Saddle fit booking slow, lots of saddles for the showcase (21 so far), 23 tack sale tables booked

Andy showed the rifle sling door prize

50/50 license purchased, bake sale, candy guess jars

Plans for DRM info booth and demo of endurance riding, Dean to do tech booth for working GPX files

 

Year End Awards -Darice

Darice has 2 blankets, 1 chair, 2 hay bags and junior prizes available for 2024

Promotional Items – Kelli

Sending out on social media for opinions in the next few days and will order hats and water bottles, with shirts/sweatshirts to follow

Google account:

– No issues

Email list:

Need for update, email of confirmation of membership should be sent

Website:

– Christine and Mark will work on updating the Website meeting tomorrow

Ride maps should be up

Facebook:

– Christine will continue to post updates on Facebook

– Brianne Hicks to open an Instagram account and Kelli will add her to the facebook account

Bylaw review, Policy statements, and Rule Book:

Rider option will require the horse to pass the vet if they have gone back on course since last vet check.

Coggins requirement to stay the same as 2023

New business:

– No new business

Ride Operations:

Birds Hill Park May 11/12 2024, RM Carrie and Darice assisted by committee, need day manager for day 2, Christine TM

Souris Bend August 3 2024 RM Dianne, Myna TM

Spruce Woods August 24 2024 RM Wendy N, MTRC trail marking

Belair Oct 5/6 2024 RM Tricia, Darice TM

Ride Fees tabled due to proposed new AERC sanctioning rates (Carrie to be contacted)

Placement Ribbons, need to order more HVS and BC ribbons, lots of placement ribbons available- Tricia

$50/day for RM expenses, RM to get $100/ weekend, Trail marker to get $75/weekend
